The Final Stretch

So our parents have come and gone before we’ve had a chance to blink. We’ve traversed city-life in Seoul, seen the tourist sights in Busan, and the traditional countryside in Gyeong-ju. All Things Rice Festival

This weekend we headed on over to Gyeong-Ju to check out the Rice Cake and Rice Wine Festival. Since neither Joel or I particularly like rice cakes, it was the – let’s drink as much rice wine as we can tolerate festival. Turns out there are some pluses to being a foreigner, because as soon as we walked in they handed us a free shot glass to hang around our necks. We spent the day sampling the fares, and then headed out to do some sightseeing. Lovely day, and we’ll definitely be going back to see the rest of the sites.
